Grant Thornton’s Structured Products Practice is looking to provide Agreed Upon Procedures (AUP) reports to a variety of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, investment banks, and asset managers, and needs a Structured Products Senior Associate to contribute to clients' business needs by providing strategic, financial, and operational support.
Requirements
- Strong technical background including an in depth understanding of one or more of the following assets classes: RMBS, ABS, CLO, and similar securitized and structured products
- Cashflow/waterfall modeling experience preferred
- Well-versed in interpreting legal documents, including offering memoranda, franchise agreements, loan agreements, funding memoranda, etc.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word)
- Prior relevant consulting experience preferred
- A related professional license/certification is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Grant Thornton managers and partners on all aspects of the AUP report creation and delivery process and coordinate this work with all internal and external parties involved
- Become proficient in one or more of our AUP product lines: tape to file, circle ups, cashflow modeling, and payment date reporting
- Create and manage project data rooms
- Document procedures and workflows to ensure efficient and accurate deliverables
- Contribute to developing new client proposals and understand/manage firm risk
- Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization)
- Identify process gaps and propose improvements
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, MIS, or related field degree required, Master’s degree a plus
- Minimum 2 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice, financial services organization or function servicing securitized and structured products valuations, Buy-side or Sell-side experience is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and multitask on simultaneous projects in a rapidly growing practice
- Can travel as needed
