The Space Dynamics Laboratory is seeking a Jira Support Assistant to support their team effectively and provide basic technical support to users, while gaining practical experience in IT and project management.

Responsibilities
- Actively engages in training to understand Jira as a project management tool, with the guidance of a Jira Administrator
- Provides basic technical support and leverage scripting skills to assist users effectively and resolve issues
- Assists with managing user accounts and permissions for Jira and Confluence, gaining practical experience in user support
- Helps set up and configure Jira projects, workflows, and boards, while learning best practices along the way
- Participates in meetings to gather insights on project requirements and contribute feedback for system improvements, fostering collaboration with various teams
- Shows enthusiasm for learning Jira, Confluence, and software development methodologies to support your professional growth
Other
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Must have a minimum of 1 year remaining in school
- Must be available to work 15-20 hours per week during semesters and up to 40 hours per week during summer
- Must be a US citizen, lawful permanent resident of the US, or other US person
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
