The Student Engagement Graphic Designer will be responsible for the creation of Student Engagement marketing materials.

Requirements

  • Proficient in editing software programs including: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, Illustrator).
  • Must be familiar with print and digital formats (native files, JPG, TIFF, PNG, EPS, PDF, etc).
  • Required use of a fully operational laptop with access to stable internet connection, Adobe Creative Cloud, and an external hard drive.
  • Must have own computer to do projects on.

Responsibilities

  • Creating marketing materials using programs within the Adobe Suite.
  • Prepare final digital, print files, as well as deliver completed projects to clients as needed.
  • Maintain an orderly archive of projects and strict schedule for completed tasks as requested by clients.
  • Adhere to Grand Canyon Universities branding and style guides.
  • Assist with social media or experiential marketing efforts.

Other

  • Meeting with clients in person or remotely to discuss projects.
  • Weekly meetings with staff to discuss projects in progress.
  • Serve as a department ambassador and promote the departments at events and activities.
  • Meet regularly with Marketing/Media Coordinator to receive feedback/changes, review upcoming events, assignments and communication strategies.
  • Able to take and receive direction from Student Engagement staff for vision in creating design.
  • Able to work well with others in achieving the common goal of highlighting and marketing Student Engagement events.
  • Organized, punctual, creative, and have keen attention to detail.
  • Interest in marketing, student affairs, retail, and/or social media.
  • Provide a portfolio upon request.
  • Ability to work 10-20 hours per week.
  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
