ISO New England is looking to improve the efficiency and reliability of the electric grid in New England through automation and technology, and this internship is aimed at supporting this goal by developing custom software tools.
Requirements
- Experience with relational databases and application development.
- Familiarity with multiple programming languages, such as R, Python, MATLAB, VBA, SQL, and C-Sharp.
- Strong understanding of software development principles and data analysis concepts.
Responsibilities
- Review existing software and processes used by System Operations and Market Administration teams to identify areas for improvement.
- Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain bespoke software solutions.
- Perform occasional data analysis to support departmental decision-making.
- Collaborate with OAT staff and SOMA business teams to support ongoing projects and initiatives.

- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Must have completed at least the first year of college and be currently enrolled in a four year or graduate-level academic program.
- Must have the authority to work in the US on a permanent basis, without requiring sponsorship.
- Must be willing to relocate to the US if not already residing there.
