The University of Virginia is seeking to develop Claude AI agents to solve real campus challenges and integrate AI in higher education
Requirements
- Experience with Claude Code and Claude Agent building
- Strong programming fundamentals (Python, JavaScript, or similar languages preferred)
- Experience with API integration and web services
- Basic understanding of cloud hosting and server management
- Previous experience with additional AI/ML platforms or large language models
- Familiarity with workflow automation tools (n8n or similar)
- Familiarity with MCP server use, build and deployment (via Hostinger or similar)
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy Claude AI agents using Claude Pro/Edu platforms to solve real campus challenges
- Utilize Claude Code CLI tool for agentic coding tasks and workflow automation
- Create and maintain automated processes using n8n workflow platform
- Build and deploy custom MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers on Hostinger infrastructure
- Teach, mentor and develop training materials for staff on Claude AI capabilities, best practices, and implementation strategies
- Work with IT staff on creating comprehensive guides and documentation for developed solutions
- Identify opportunities for AI integration across Batten focus areas

- Current enrollment as undergraduate or graduate student at UVA
