- Proficiency in at least one of the following tools: MATLAB, Python, GAMS.
Responsibilities
- Develop a storage model that captures the physical characteristics of long-duration energy storage resources.
- Analyze how charging and discharging behavior changes under different operational objectives, implement and test models using MATLAB, Python, GAMS.
- Conduct data-driven studies to evaluate how storage integration impacts reliability and decarbonization goals.
- Communicate technical findings clearly to ISO engineers and analysts.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts in a research-focused environment.
Other
- PhD student in Operations Research, Power System Engineering, or related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
