ISO New England is seeking a Programmer Intern to help design and enhance applications that support market participants and external transactions, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of New England’s energy markets.
Requirements
- Experience with Java
- Knowledge of SQL
- Experience with Web UI development (preferred)
- Familiarity with the Spring Framework (preferred)
- Experience integrating with MGS (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Write production-quality code, contributing directly to applications deployed in ISO’s production environment
- Explore how well Generative AI can generate HTML, UIs, and persistent layers, assessing its usefulness and reliability for real-world applications
- Gain hands-on experience in software design, coding, and testing
- Work as a contributing member of the team, alongside experienced software professionals, with opportunities for mentorship and skill development
- Help design and enhance applications that support market participants and external transactions
- Contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of New England’s energy markets
- Participate in modern development practices, tools, and frameworks
Other
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Must have completed at least the first year of college and be currently enrolled in a four year or graduate-level academic program
- Must have the authority to work in the US on a permanent basis, without requiring sponsorship
- Must be willing to relocate to the US if not already residing there
