ISO New England is seeking to test and benchmark an in-house developed resource adequacy assessment tool against the Production RAA tool to improve its capabilities and accuracy for ensuring the safe and reliable flow of electricity and planning for the future of the electric grid.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of resource adequacy assessment for power systems.
- Proficiency in programming (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or other analytical tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical findings.
- Exposure to power system modeling and data analytics.
Responsibilities
- Conduct benchmarking of ISO’s in-house resource adequacy assessment tool with the production RAA tool.
- Perform detailed testing, analyze, and identify gaps or improvement areas.
- Provide data-driven recommendations for improving the in-house tools' performance and reliability.
- Gain exposure to power system modeling and data analytics.
- Analyze results and provide recommendations to improve performance.
