The Ohio State University's Department of Medicine | IM Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism-JM is seeking a Student Research Assistant to support clinical research projects focused on physical activity and nutrition, aiming to improve participant recruitment and retention.
Requirements
- experience operating personal computer and other office equipment required
- knowledge of medical terminology desired
- complete CITI Training and other Computer Based Learning Trainings to gain access to necessary study platforms such as Institutional Review Board (IRB), Integrated Healthcare Information System (IHIS), RedCap, etc.
Responsibilities
- assist and support clinical research staff on projects focused on physical activity and nutrition
- assisting with study related duties to promote recruitment and retention of study participants
- complete CITI Training and other Computer Based Learning Trainings to gain access to necessary study platforms such as Institutional Review Board (IRB), Integrated Healthcare Information System (IHIS), RedCap, etc.
- assist with screening of eligible participants
- conduct phone screenings
- schedule visits
- conduct follow-up contacts with participants, participant engagement, data collection and data cleaning
Other
- Must be currently enrolled OSU student in a degree-granting program
- Requires successful completion of a background check.
- Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service, strong organizational skills, ability to work in a professional environment.
- Ability to work with and communicate effectively to direct activities to other students’ employees.
