Requirements
- Currently pursuing a PhD in computer science/electrical engineering or a related technical discipline
- Strong publication record in top tier academic conferences or journals in the field
- Project experience of building real multimedia systems (must have) and solving problems with large scale systems (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Analyze and optimize the performance and efficiency of large-scale commercial streaming systems, including but not limited to on-demand video streaming, live video streaming, and real-time communication
- Design and propose novel algorithms, frameworks, and streaming solutions for emerging media content, including but not limited to 360-degree video, multi-view video, and interactive video with ultra-low latency
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy prototypes into commercial systems
- Exploit new research directions that may revolutionize future multimedia systems
