The Center For Women's Healthcare at MedCenter for Women is looking for a Student Ultrasound Assistant to provide care for patients undergoing cardiovascular ultrasound procedures, ensuring regulatory and professional standards are met and patient-focused service is maintained.
Requirements
- 0-1 years in Healthcare-Ultrasound Training
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
- demonstrate full knowledge of Ultrasound equipment
Responsibilities
- Under direct supervision, performs routine and special exams consistent with established protocols to minimize repeat examinations.
- Under direct supervision, consistently completes ALL exams and documentation in CHL and PACS.
- As directed, consistently and accurately identifies ALL charges associated with studies.
- As directed, addresses errors and resolves issues related to the study results being sent to PACS.
- Under direct supervision, consistently demonstrate a commitment to safe practices as outlined by departmental policies.
- Cardiovascular ultrasound student assistants in this position can demonstrate full knowledge of Ultrasound equipment.
Other
- under the supervision of department leadership, is responsible for maintaining regulatory and professional standards and exhibiting strong decision-making capabilities.
- A close working relationship with Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Services leadership, cardiologists, and the medical staff is required to maintain a patient-focused service.
