The Office of Sponsored Research Services at Washington University in St. Louis needs a SUBS Grant Analyst to enforce compliance and provide expert advice and training to faculty and administrators regarding research administration policies and procedures, specifically focusing on preparing, negotiating, and administering outgoing subagreements.
Requirements
- Research Administration (1 Year)
- Experience with sponsored research administration in a large university environment.
- Experience with accounting principles, federal and non-federal pre and post-award policies and university allowable cost principles.
- Knowledge of university’s organization, policies/procedures.
- Knowledge of the Uniform Guidance (UG).
- Knowledge of and ability to negotiate key contract terms and conditions.

Responsibilities
- Prepare, review and negotiate outgoing subagreements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the regulatory and legal framework and vast compliance rules affecting sponsored research agreements.
- Provide detail-oriented review of SUBSystem Required Items while providing expert guidance and enforcing compliance with university, school and external agency policies related to outgoing subawards.
- Analyze sponsored research awards received from external funding agencies for required flow down terms, and active assurances (animals, humans, conflict of interest, etc.) to prepare appropriate outgoing subaward agreements.
- Manage workload using status transparency for prioritization.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of all subawards to OSRS Signing Official for approval.
- Administer and Manage the SUBS template portfolio of attachments, institutional database and internal Process documents.
