GAI is looking to solve electrical substation and protections & controls design services problems by hiring a candidate to work with engineering and other technical subject matter experts.
Requirements
Experience with drafting programs, particularly AutoCAD and Revit is preferred.
BIM experience preferred.
Demonstrate in-depth understanding of basic computer systems and software packages.
Must be willing to learn software that is specific to Power Delivery Industry.
Good skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
Advanced ISO view and 3-D view drawing depictions.
Ability to use style and formatting in CAD software.
Responsibilities
Opening, revising, plotting, and saving of drawing CAD files.
Create new drawings from templates from scratch with title blocks and border drawing blocks.
Create and modify drawing blocks, borders, and title blocks
Provide direction for compiling, collating, assembling, and verifying completeness of drawing and project document packages.
Advanced use of scaling with model and paper space.
Ability to use style and formatting in CAD software.
Advanced knowledge of plot profiles and user profiles in CAD package.
Other
Enrolled in a program to receive a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, preferably electrical engineering, is required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical reports and procedures, and governmental regulations.
Less than 4 years of experience: Enrolled in a 4 year engineering degree program
