AMD is seeking to develop next-generation technology innovations and is looking for an Application Engineering intern/co-op to join their team to create custom designs and help develop new front-end features in the Vivado and Vitis tool suites
Requirements
- Vivado / Vitis experience
- Embedded operating systems, device drivers
- RTL coding and verification
- DSP / Matlab
- Python scripting
- Prior FPGA / SoC development experience is desired
Responsibilities
- Creating custom designs to help develop new front-end features in the Vivado and Vitis tool suites
- Running these designs in hardware to confirm the correct design and tool behavior
- Filing bug cases with engineering to improve the tool quality
- Interacting with engineers from Software development and testing, Marketing, and worldwide customer support to ensure the new software features are robust, meet the customer's needs and are well documented
- Directly impacting AMD's tool suites
Other
- Working towards a master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or embedded systems
- Highly motivated intern
- Ability to work onsite 40 hours per week
- Duration: Summer 2026 - approximately 6/2026 to 8/2026
- Must be eligible to work in the US
