QTS's Data Center Infrastructure-Controls and Automation Internship aims to provide hands-on experience in managing and automating data center operations, ensuring they remain functional and accessible to clients. This involves working with new and existing solutions for automation and controls within the data center environment.
Requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint for presentations and Excel for data analysis and budgeting.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Responsibilities
- Perform proof of concept type investigations on legacy or new solutions
- Analyze the upkeep and configuration of PLCs
- Map out opportunities for automation using existing or future state tools/resources
- Assist with data interpretation, correlation, visualizations, and reporting
Other
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, STEM, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Current full-time enrollment in one of QTS’s partner institutions (listed below) or a affiliate school
- Previous internship or co-op experience in construction, finance, technology, HR, facilities engineering, or related industries.
- Involvement in community activities outside of schoolwork (athletics, clubs, volunteering, part-time employment).
