Nationwide is looking for candidates for a Generative AI (GenAI) Intern position to apply large language models (LLMs), AI agents, and agentic workflows to drive innovation and operational efficiency across the insurance value chain.
Requirements
- Experience with LLMs, AI agents, and agentic systems
- Experience with NLP, deep learning, and generative modeling techniques
- Familiarity with vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines
- Experience with cloud platforms and MLOps best practices
- Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Transformers, Scikit-learn)
- Experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes) and CI/CD for ML pipelines a major plus
- Some statistical and/or technical background is preferred.
Responsibilities

- modeling complex problems, discovering insights and identifying business opportunities using scientific research methods, statistics, machine learning and data visualization techniques.
- participate in all phases of the analytic lifecycle, from research design, data collection and data processing to model building, deployment and presentation of results.
- develop integrated, end-to-end solutions contributing to company success.
- uphold a high standard for methodological rigor using sound statistical inference and robust model validation in our daily work.
