State Farm is looking to enhance its overall security posture by developing and implementing innovative offensive and defensive security technologies, utilizing coding to improve security infrastructure, automate processes, and devise creative solutions.
Requirements
- Foundational coding skills in one or more programming languages
- Experience with Java and/or Python
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms
- Interest or experience in AI, automation, and machine learning is a plus
- Basic understanding of risk and compliance principles
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on diverse offensive and defensive security technologies
- Utilizing coding to enhance security infrastructure
- Automate existing processes
- Devise creative solutions that elevate our overall security posture
- Collaborate on products that support diverse user communities
- Develop and enhance coding solutions—including low-code and no-code platforms
- Work across multiple product suites to strengthen cybersecurity measures
Other
- Full-time undergraduate or graduate students pursuing Cybersecurity, Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems/IT, or related fields
- Preferred GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Active involvement in cybersecurity clubs, organizations, or relevant projects
- A proactive mindset with the drive to lead and positively influence change
- Strong problem-solving curiosity
- Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- A positive “can-do” attitude and a love for learning (and having fun!)
- Must be a full-time college student enrolled in an undergraduate or post-graduate program during the internship
- At least one semester of college remaining after Summer 2026
- Ability to work on-site at one of our hub locations (Bloomington, IL or Richardson, TX) or within 180 miles of the assigned hub for the duration of the internship
- Commitment to full participation throughout the internship period with minimal schedule disruptions
- Strong desire to join State Farm post-graduation
