An internship with American Family Insurance is a great opportunity to build your skillset and explore your career interests. Our summer student internship is a 10 to 14 week program that starts in mid to late May and ends in August. During your internship, you'll work on impactful projects that make a difference at our company, with our customers, and in our communities. You'll also gain exposure to different areas of our business and have numerous opportunities for networking and coaching.
Requirements
- Experience with Python
- Experience with SKLearn
- Experience with Pytorch/Tensorflow
- Experience with AWS or GCP
- Basic understanding of computer vision, natural language processing, machine learning related task
Responsibilities
- Build and develop ML applications to address business problems
- Assist with data cleaning and preparation
- Presents project results to management and/or department personnel.
- Stay up to date on current AI trends through research and seminars
Other
- Must be in student status at an accredited 4-year college or university during the internship, graduating August 2026 or later.
- Must be pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD.
- Major/program must align with internship role.
