ATI is seeking to solve the world's most difficult challenges through materials science and is looking for a Process Engineering Intern to contribute to this effort
Requirements
- Currently attending accredited 4-year college with a major in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science/Metallurgy, or related field
- Desire to work in a manufacturing environment, and working from a maintenance perspective with heavy industrial equipment is a plus
- Familiarity with computer-based process models and optimization techniques
- Proficiency with ad-hoc database queries using Microsoft Access or SQL
Responsibilities
- Establish relationships between process characteristics and key output variables
- Assist the Quality Department with the development and improvement of standard operating procedures and temporary work instructions
- Identify, justify, and implement cost savings projects
- Participate on Capital Project teams as needed
- Daily and direct interaction with production personnel involving process related issues and potential improvements
- Present projects to the senior management of ATI Specialty Rolled Products at the end of the internship
