ATI is seeking to solve the world's most difficult challenges through materials science by hiring high-performing interns to contribute to their advanced, integrated process technologies.
Requirements
- Familiarity with computer-based process models and optimization techniques.
- Proficiency with ad-hoc database queries using Microsoft Access or SQL.
Responsibilities
- Establish relationships between process characteristics and key output variables.
- Assist the Quality Department with the development and improvement of standard operating procedures and temporary work instructions.
- Identify, justify, and implement cost savings projects.
- Participate on Capital Project teams as needed.
- Daily and direct interaction with production personnel involving process related issues and potential improvements.
Other
- Currently attending accredited 4-year college with a major in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science/Metallurgy, or related field.
- Desire to work in a manufacturing environment, and working from a maintenance perspective with heavy industrial equipment is a plus
- Role will have the opportunity to present their projects to the senior management of ATI Specialty Rolled Products at the end of their internship.
