SAS Product Design is looking for interns to help solve business problems with design, transform requirements into compelling workflows and UI designs, and ensure consistent design across products.
Requirements
- Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Mural, Miro, etc.
- Familiarity with one or more areas within UX design such as Design Systems, Designing for Accessibility, Ethical Design, Responsive Design, Data Visualization, etc.
- Exposure to front end technologies such as CSS, HTML, React, etc.
Responsibilities
- Work with product management to solve business problems with design.
- Contribute to and use our design system to ensure consistent design across products.
- Collaborate with product and development teams in the design process to ensure that solutions can be implemented.
- Gather user data via methods such as task analysis, usability tests, participatory design, surveys, and focus groups.
- Interactively test designs using low- and/or high-fidelity prototypes
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data, and present findings and recommendations to the product team.
- Generate UI specification documents.
Other
- You’re an undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited program studying Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Information Science, Communication Arts, Fine Art, Cognitive Psychology, Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction or related field, and not graduating prior to December 2026.
- You’re curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable.
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
- Confident with approaching complex problems and challenges with attention to detail.
- Be comfortable with a degree of ambiguity. A successful intern can create specific actions and paths from ambiguous goals and requirements.
