Peraton is seeking a Software Development Analyst Intern to support the USPS Central Repair Facility program, which involves electro-mechanical repair and overhaul of mail processing and delivery equipment. The intern will contribute to ensuring the continued automation and mechanization of essential equipment used nationwide.
Requirements
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio or other Visual IDE environment
- Experience with C-Sharp / C++,VB.NET and JavaScript
- Experience with ASP.NET, MVC, Windows Forms
- Knowledge of relational databases preferably Microsoft SQL Server
Responsibilities
- Under general supervision performs general application or web page design, implementation and documentation
- Assists current staff in designing upgrades to current system software
- Evaluate current applications and future needs to determine future projects
Other
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Postal Service security clearance.
- Clearance is required to start.
- Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2026.
- Be majoring in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering discipline or related field.
- Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2026
- Must be local to the Topeka, KS area and/or willing to commute onsite daily.
- Good presentation and writing/communication skills.
- Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment.
- Experience in developing and delivering presentations and leading small groups.
- Experience in working in an autonomous work environment on complex projects.
- Experience in working on business or engineering full life-cycle projects from project inception through launch.
