Entergy’s Project Delivery Department is responsible for planning, designing, constructing, maintaining and operating over 15,000 miles of transmission lines across the four-state territory and is looking for an intern to assist engineers in day to day activities.
Requirements
- Knowledge of design software
- Ability to model surveyed field configurations
- Understanding of transmission-related areas such as planning, economic analysis, maintenance, design, project management and construction, and operations
- Familiarity with Transmission Substation and Line database management
- Ability to perform detailed engineering analysis
- Knowledge of personal computer operations and software
- Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities
Responsibilities
- Performing design based on project scoping and site visits
- Utilizing design software to model surveyed field configurations
- Preparing operational one-line drawings
- Validate estimating prices and equipment units, ensuring material is properly ordered and staged for upcoming projects
- Managing projects that are in construction
- Completion of as-built documentation
- Participate in weekly planning coordination calls
Other
- Authorization to work in the United States is a precondition to employment in this position
- Must be actively pursuing a bachelors, masters or doctorate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil engineering
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Excellent communication and time management skills, great interpersonal skills
- Travel may be required for the position, up to 25%
