Navy Federal Credit Union's Technology Solutions Team is looking to drive innovation through effective project management, robust implementation of technology solutions, and strategic systems management. The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) position is responsible for coordinating and conducting basic system analyses, identifying and documenting business requirements, and developing solutions that enhance business systems and processes.
Requirements
- Exposure to the application of statistical methods, mathematical techniques, forecasting, cost-benefit analysis and related analytical tools
- Familiarity with data querying, reporting, forecasting, analysis and operations research, including statistical methods and modeling
- Exposure to SQL and VBA database languages
- Basic research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Effective skill following, interpreting and applying relevant data/instructions to guidelines, procedures, practices and regulations
- Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills
Responsibilities
- Assist/take the lead on a workstream for the SMD System, Application and Service Mapping initiative within (includes stakeholders from InfoSec, Enterprise: OBB – Operational Building Blocks, etc.)
- Identify and document data fields and configurations passed from between systems and applications
- Assist with completing the data dictionary for SMD
- Identify opportunities to improve ability to handle data requests
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality and/or integrity
- Assist in creating measurement plan templates for new systems/applications
- Work with project teams to plan, coordinate and rollout software change/release to Controlled Testing and Production, obtain required approvals as scheduled, and transition project to Production

- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or other related degree
- Effective verbal and written communication skills

- Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship.
- To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2026 or later.
