Navy Federal's Marketing Design team is looking for a Summer Associate to assist with the design, production, and maintenance of marketing, advertising, and corporate communications artwork and related collateral to support the organization's marketing endeavors and ensure strong user experience and alignment with overall objectives.
Requirements
- Experience in using design programs, creating and print and online collateral
- Working knowledge of design principles, design development standards, techniques and methodologies and ability to apply them
- Working knowledge of design fundamentals
- Working knowledge of interactive design, visual design and industry standards
- Working knowledge of new programs and technologies to include the latest social media trends
- Working knowledge of video and animation production, in addition to print production
- Relevant experience with mainstream design desktop publishing programs, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects, or Premiere Pro
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute designs, layouts and visual branding in both print and digital media that support products and services and objectives
- Create print, video, and web graphics, photography, logos, and illustrations to support marketing initiatives
- Ideate concepts, create initial design sketches, and follow art direction to produce marketing materials utilizing typography, illustration, animation, video, and layout skills
- Maintain consistency of designs, ensure version controls and latest designs are published, maintains content manager and other storage systems
- Support print specifications, digital files, and conversion of file formats for Print OnDemand, laser forms, etc.
- Research emerging technologies, trends, and new methodologies and recommend solutions that align with business goals
- Incorporate and leverage best industry practices while maintaining alignment with Navy Federal goals and capabilities

- To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2026 or later.
