StandardAero is looking to solve complex aviation problems by designing and creating new systems and technologies, and maintaining, repairing, and overhauling aircraft engines, including the Rolls-Royce RB211 engines.
Requirements
- Good understanding of manufacturing methods, shop equipment and machining processes.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints.
- Working knowledge of gas turbine engine and/or accessory theory and performance analysis.
- Working knowledge of PC's in the current company operating system environment.
- Working knowledge of production management computer systems.
- Thorough knowledge of failure modes and effects analysis.
- Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for immediately reporting flight/product safety concerns.
- Participates in proactive risk analysis of flight/product safety critical parts and processes.
- Resolves technical problems beyond the scope of the product unit operations group; liaises with manufacturers.
- Performs engine and accessory test, performance analysis and troubleshooting.
- Prepares detailed work instructions for operations personnel, outside of routine overhaul procedures.
- Provides interpretation and clarification of overhaul data; produces material review board, temporary overhaul data requirement, unit build standards, and engineering bill of materials documentation to support operational repair and overhaul processes.
- Reviews service bulletins and manual changes and incorporates amendments into production.
Other
- A minimum of 60 credit hours or two years within an ABET-accredited towards a Bachelors in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident as per ITAR Regulations.
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to comprehend federal regulations and how those apply within company policies.
- Recognizes and understands flight/product safety critical parts and processes.
