Alcon is looking for an intern to support their UX Research team to improve user experience and support the design process by assisting in user research studies, analysis, and documentation.
Requirements
- Airtable (database building, forms, automation).
- Dovetail (tagging, insights synthesis, repository organization).
- Basic research operations or documentation workflows (templates, SOPs, intake forms, study tracking).
- Handling structured data and helping maintain controlled vocabularies/glossaries.
- Experience using Airtable, Notion, Dovetail, Qualtrics, Maze, or similar tools.
- Ability to help with synthesis (affinity mapping, coding/tagging, summarizing insights).
- Experience working with large datasets, taxonomies, or research repositories is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist the UX research team with preparing user studies and research sessions.
- Take detailed notes during usability tests and interviews.
- Help analyze and synthesize research findings to identify patterns and insights.
- Support documentation and reporting of research outcomes for the design team.
- Apply principles of human-computer interaction and psychology to improve user experience.

Other
- Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college for at least one semester prior to internship or co-op, and at least one additional semester following internship or co-op.
- Must be pursuing at least a master’s level degree in Human-Computer Interaction, UI/UX Design, Psychology, or related major.
- Academic performance: Minimum cumulative GPA 2.8/4.0
- Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects)
- Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship (students on an F1 visa with CPT can be accommodated)
