RGA is seeking summer interns for the Global Technology department to assist with software support, maintenance, testing, documentation, and development of new or existing applications, aiming to solve today's challenges through innovation and collaboration.
Requirements
- Training/exposure to modern language Required
- Training/exposure to relational/NoSQL database Required
- Desire to develop programming skills Required
- Demonstrates ability to quickly learn new technologies Required
- JavaScript/Java/Groovy/Go/C-Sharp/.Net/Python Preferred
- Docker/Kubernetes Preferred
- Some hands on application development experience, either through professional work experience, internship or coursework Preferred
Responsibilities
- Code standard enhancements and update existing functionality.
- Test and debug applications to ensure quality, under general supervision
- Gather and analyze requirements to support user needs
- Assists in problem analysis and submits recommendations when appropriate.
Other
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) of Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline
- Ability to solve standard problem, using education, independent thought, and judgement
- Effective communication skills, including ability to exchange normal information, while confirming answers to questions Required
- 10-week paid summer internship aimed at helping to explore the technology field
- Group activities with the fellow cohort, including social and volunteer events based out of our Global Headquarters in Chesterfield, Missouri.
