RGA is seeking summer interns for the Global Technology department to learn and work side-by-side with technology teams, contributing to impactful and relevant projects that align with RGA's strategic business initiatives.
Requirements
- Ability to develop requirement documents, User Stories, Use Cases and Test Cases required
- Ability to translate basic business needs and problems into technical solutions with assistance required
- Performs basic data analysis
- Perform gap analysis to identify possible enhancements to existing system functionalities.
- Under direct supervision, identifies client's business needs for basic systems development and provides appropriate solutions.
- Performs requirement analysis and documents requirements.
- The associate will also perform basic manual integrated testing of modules within the system, based upon requirements.
Responsibilities
- Document the clients’ business needs in the form of user stories
- With some assistance conduct grooming sessions with full team (users, developers dba’s, needed IT partners, etc.)
- Define, implement and verify test cases to be used in regression testing.
- Review and verify system enhancements with some oversight.
- Create defect and enhancement items to be added to the backlog.
- Assist in the triage and/or resolution of production issues.
- Assist the development/QA team by ensuring automated testing meets expected results
Other
- Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ideally in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, or other data or technology-related majors)
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA; additional requirements may apply
- Competent oral and written communication skills required
- Ability to analyze and solve routine problems by identifying root causes, issues or approaches required
- Ability to work well within a team environment and seek involvement from others and areas to solve problems required
