IEEE is looking to support its Product Management team in the ideation, design, and management of key IEEE digital products by hiring an intern who can assist with customer research, market analysis, and content management.
Requirements
- Proficiency with typical business software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
- experience with reporting tools such as Tableau desirable.
Responsibilities
- Support the PM team in conducting and documenting customer research and interviews.
- Research, compile and document industry trends, new markets for existing products, competitive analysis, as well as data sources and publication lists in support of business decisions.
- Compile and help analyze citation information to support sales and content acquisition
- Create usage and sales reports for existing IEEE products and IEEE’s strategic partners
- Complete analysis for existing IEEE products, as well as new product concepts
- Content curation for new and existing IEEE products
- Journal evaluation and indexing assistance
Other
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in a field such as electrical engineering (or related engineering fields), library science, publishing, communications, or marketing.
- Past internship experience in a product management, publishing, or research setting desirable.
- Previous knowledge or desire to learn about the product management profession and the Scholarly Publishing industry in a not-for-profit setting.
