SECURA Insurance is looking to improve its applications enabling Agent, Client, and Associate facing technologies and capabilities by hiring a Supervisor of Software Engineering to lead a team in application delivery, support, and service.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of modern application development methodologies, including Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with at least one development language
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including automation, monitoring, and infrastructure as code.
Responsibilities
- Manage the team responsible for various applications, including those written in .Net, C-Sharp, proprietary platforms, and SQL Server.
- Manage the intake, analysis, resolution, and customer interaction for IT requests related to these product lines
- Provide leadership in executing strategic roadmaps focused on business and technology needs
- Oversee support and training in the use of applications, including orientation for new staff and specialized training
- Manage relationships with software vendors, escalating issues and advocating for fixes/patches
- Oversee the evaluation and recommendations on vendor hardware, software, and/or services
- Ensure the team complies with departmental standards (e.g., security, compliance, and application development standards)
Other
- 3+ years of leadership experience with a proven track record of delivering business value through software development teams or cross-functional technology initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise application development, including leading teams through the full software development lifecycle.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- Demonstrated success in aligning technology solutions with business strategy, driving measurable outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, foster collaboration, and build trust across teams.
