Boston Scientific is looking to improve the performance and capabilities of its suppliers to consistently meet the company's requirements. The Supplier Quality Engineer will drive improvements and corrective actions in component quality, support global sourcing and manufacturing operations, and participate in value improvement projects.

Requirements

  • Experience using JMP and Python to create analysis workflows in the medical device space.
  • Experience standardizing data reporting and reducing time to detect quality issues across supply chains.
  • Experience with quality systems, quality processes, internal auditing, or ISO13485.
  • Experience with manufacturing support or process development.
  • Experience with project management.

Responsibilities

  • Drives improvement and corrective action in the quality of components sourced from outside suppliers.
  • Provides technical support in the selection of suppliers.
  • Develops acceptance criteria for materials.
  • Monitors supplier performance to drive supplier corrective action, manufacturing yield issues and field failures.
  • Assess suppliers for technical, quality and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems of diverse scope and complexity where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Exercises authority and judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

Other

  • BS degree in Biomedical Engineering.
  • 0 – 1 year experience in quality engineering in medical device.
  • Previous internship experience with Boston Scientific.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization.
