Requirements
- 5+ years as a Supplier Quality Engineer within manufacturing.
- Proven success in conducting supplier audits and driving measurable improvements.
- Strong proficiency in quality methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, 8D, CAPA, PFMEA, Control Plans).
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Proficient with GD&T, CAD software, statistical analysis tools, and QMS (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Strong MS Office Suite skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct audits and assessments of new and existing suppliers.
- Collaborate with vendors to enhance processes, conduct PFMEAs, and implement quality improvement plans.
- Provide technical guidance and training to ensure compliance and elevate supplier capabilities.
- Develop and monitor Supplier Quality Control Plans.
- Manage all supplier non-conformances, leading root cause analysis (RCA) using methodologies like 5 Whys and 8D.
- Ensure timely resolution of issues, verify corrective actions, and oversee PPAP or similar qualification documentation.
- Establish and track KPIs for supplier quality.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or a related technical engineering field.
- Collaborative team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with strong initiative.
- Travel 10-20% to supplier sites.
