Emerson is looking for a Supply Quality Engineer to ensure the quality of raw materials from suppliers are stable and reliable.
Requirements
- Familiar with the quality system (ISO-9001:2015)
- Well experienced in using quality control tools such as FEMA, 8D or 5why
- Knowledge of measurement techniques
Responsibilities
- Conduct supplier system audit and process audit in compliance with company requirement
- Report supplier parts quality, and participate in supplier performance assessment
- Follow up engineering changing request and confirm the result
- Analyze quality issues from production, incoming inspection, or customer feedback, prepare and lead internal/external quality discussions due to suppliers’ quality incidents
- Propose improving and corrective actions regarding supplier quality failure
- Conduct on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of corrective action of supplier quality issues
- Provide training to supplier regarding quality standards, technology, Emerson quality requirements
Other
- Keep smooth communication with supplier about quality issues on a day-to-day basis
- Participate in the development and implementation of cost reduction projects with suppliers
- A minimum of 3 years of related of production or operations experience in a manufacturing or similar industry.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 15% domestically
- Must demonstrate versatility, leadership, and self-motivation
