Covestro is seeking interns to support its Supply Chain & Logistics Operations group, specifically in areas such as Transportation and International Operations, Warehousing and Bulk Terminal Operations, Center of Excellence, and Order Management, to help service customers around the globe and improve people's quality of life.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated PC skills and ability to work within Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel
  • Exposure to SAP through internship or coursework
  • Industrial or Chemical Engineering background (preferred)
  • Prior internship/work experience (preferred)
  • Ability to work with diverse individuals and establish good working relationships
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Gain valuable, hands-on experience as part of the Supply Chain & Logistics Operations team
  • Contribute to ongoing projects that will help improve people's quality of life
  • Visit a plant and/or warehouse to give you greater insight and a firsthand look at our day-to-day operations
  • Work closely with highly skilled and experienced professionals
  • Help to identify customer needs and keep the flow of new and established products moving through the marketplace
  • Participate in project coordination with the ability to be proactive and identify creative, effective technical solutions
  • Analyze and solve problems using strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Other

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program with an emphasis in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, Engineering or related degree
  • Completion of Freshman year
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Willingness to be considered for a position in any of the above-mentioned groups
  • Completion of sophomore year (preferred)
