Newport News Shipbuilding is looking to solve the problem of supervising employees who test and/or inspect products to determine compliance with specifications, specifically in the context of radiographic inspection processes and principles.
Requirements
- Apprentice graduate, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 4 years of applicable technical experience
- Related Apprentice certification (i.e. NDT, Dimensional Control) & 0 Years
- Master’s degree and 2 years relevant experience
- 4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree
- 8 years related non-exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree and experience
- Working level knowledge of radiography inspection processes and principles
Responsibilities
- Supervises employees who test and/or inspect products to determine compliance with specifications
- Must have working level knowledge of radiography inspection processes and principles across the various programs
- Must have considerable knowledge of the safety, security, and execution requirements for RT
- Must be able to build and lead teams within their own organization
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a minimum of a confidential clearance
- Must be able to obtain a third-party certification for radiation safety
