Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a highly-motivated student to join their SUE Services Discipline in their Denver, CO office to assist technical staff on day-to-day projects and support the delivery of multi-discipline engineering, design, and consulting services to public and private sector clients.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of AutoCAD preferred.
- Strong computer literacy, to include MS Office.
- Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
- Interested or currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Land Surveying, Geomatics, CADD, Engineering Technologies.
- Must have reliable transportation to the office/field.
- Possess solid problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work in a high-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist technical staff on day-to-day projects in their respective discipline.
- Transform field collected electronic files into Autodesk Civil 3D (CAD) produced drawings.
- Work with more senior staff to produce SUE, ALTA, Boundary, Topographic Surveys, As-Built drawings, maps, Specific Purpose Surveys, Plot plans and Subdivision Record
- Will also work in the field on control, topographic surveys, and pipeline surveys as Instrument Man of a one, two or three-person field crew.
- May also perform some office duties, including data reduction, field note reduction, calculations, data checks and staking computations using survey computer programs and AutoCAD.
- Performs mathematical calculations and field checking of field data.
- Reads and understands plans and specifications.
