Rheem is looking to solve the business problem of improving sustainability through product innovation, process improvements, and people engagement, with a focus on carbon reduction projects, zero-waste to landfill efforts, and sustainable product innovation and benchmarking.
Requirements
- Microsoft Office (experience with advanced functions: VLOOKUP, macros, etc. in excel preferred, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and PowerPoint)
- Experience with Power BI for building database and data analysis/reporting tools.
- Strong statistical skills as applied to environmental database management
- Detail-oriented and strong organization skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree (completed or Senior year) in Environmental Data Science, Data Science, Environmental Science or relevant Engineering program
Responsibilities
- Assist with data collection, analysis and calculations for environmental improvements, related to Enterprise Sustainability Goals with focus on Product, Packaging and Process data.
- Assist with Environmental Management System topics (documentation updates, auditing, utilities data analysis)
- Development of tools (ex. Power BI or Excel macro based) to help optimize data management and reporting.
- Data management in internal reporting software
- Performing in-depth analysis of energy efficiency savings and emissions reductions using spreadsheets, databases, and custom programming
- Liaise with various functional representatives to facilitate strategic and actionable sustainability projects
- Work with various stakeholders in the organization to develop processes that will drive improvements needed to close any identified sustainability-related gaps.

- Ability to work full-time (40 hours / week) (preferred) or part-time (20+ hours / week)
- Bachelor’s degree (completed or Senior year) in Environmental Data Science, Data Science, Environmental Science or relevant Engineering program
