Eaton’s Aerospace Division is seeking a Sustaining Product Engineer to ensure smooth operation of manufacturing processes and review customer requirements for compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
- Proficiency in CAD (CATIA V5 preferred)
- Ability to read and understand Drawings, Specifications, and Requirements
- Understanding of design evaluation techniques such as reliability analysis, statistical tolerance stack up, Failure Mode and Effect analysis (FMEA), etc
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite tools
- Exposure to Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Knowledge of fluid conveyance related products, manufacturing techniques and materials
Responsibilities
- perform engineering evaluations of customer data to Eaton data, identify differences, and address per approved processes
- participate on continuous improvement teams for assigned product lines as product engineering representative
- champion product engineering driven cost-out projects for hose, tube and fitting product engineering
- serve as primary contact for buyers for issues requiring product engineering review for conformance to requirements, change requests, clarifications, etc
- complete product engineering actions to support the daily defective material review (DMR) process on the production floor
- provide initial engineering review of customer returned material, work with lead engineers, quality engineers, and customers to determine root cause of failure
- lead problem solving activities and projects involving design and configuration of existing product
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution (Required)
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
- Relocation benefits are being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside or willing to relocate within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of Jackson, MI will be considered
