Pluralsight is looking for an SVP of Global Engineering to lead the delivery of their product line, the supporting infrastructure, and in-application customer support, ensuring customer delight by translating product strategy into an executable technology roadmap and guiding the organization through consistent, scalable, and reliable delivery.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with shipping and operating cloud services, with technical depth to be active in decisions about the large architectural investments
- Hands-on software development experience and credibility with teams of hands-on engineers
- Experience with software methodologies and development tools for project management and issue tracking
- Diagramming and development of presentations and maps and specifications for developers
- Experience with content production tools, terms, and related technical and legal concerns
- Experience with API management, product instrumentation, analytics, continuous development and integration, and security / audit concerns
- Experience with UX and UI concepts
Responsibilities
- Translate product strategy into an executable technology roadmap and guide the org through consistent, scalable, and reliable delivery as we evolve our cloud architecture using AWS-native technologies
- Coordinate the technology and components to delight our users, improve quality, and reduce the cost of support and maintenance
- Ensure your product meets or exceeds contracted SLAs
- Advise our evolving product strategy by bringing technical perspective to the conversation
- Strategically leverage Pluralsight’s own products across your organization
- Build alignment through and across the org and teams while promoting accountability, transparency, and innovation; optimize systems, tools and processes to increase speed and quality; supervise and report engineering metrics tied to company KPIs
- Hands-on software development experience and credibility with teams of hands-on engineers
Other
- Lead a globally distributed (US / APAC / EMEA) organization of 200+ software engineers and senior engineering managers
- Champion the growth, and personal development of hundreds of engineers
- Enable a direct and deep relationship with product managers, sales, and account managers
- Demonstrated experience leading and coaching senior leaders and globally distributed teams
- Strong cross-team and cross-department partnership skills for negotiating smart agreements
