The SVP, Partner and Product Engineering is responsible for overall architecture for partner and product solutions, engineering strategy and delivery across all Synchrony partner integration capabilities.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in financial services/banking, with a focus on architecting and designing comprehensive solutions in collaboration with internal teams and/or external partners
- Minimum 8 years’ experience leading teams with a focus on mentoring, coaching, and influencing team members at all levels to foster professional growth and high performance
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience leading a strategy and execution of critical engineering initiatives that advance the company’s technology roadmap.
- Proven track record of partner and product development
- Experience in in Scaled Agile Delivery methodologies
- Ability to link technical decisions with business outcomes
- Deep technical expertise and knowledge of a broad set of Synchrony systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering delivery and strategy for all Synchrony integration capabilities including Direct Integrations (API's like Venmo, PayPal and X), SYF Hosted (Business Center and Provider Center), and 3rd party channels (ISV and eCarts)
- Leads engineering delivery and strategy in support of all Business development activities including new client introductions and BD sales activity ensuring technology solutions are scalable, resilient, and align with the architecture principles of the company
- Leads engineering strategy in support of the product organization and the Chief Product Officer.
- Architect solutions to enable all integration across the entire suite of engineering capabilities
- Responsible for the aligning engineering strategy with the Business Strategy and Development organization which includes execution of new client introductions, M&A activities, and SYF Ventures.
- Responsible for engineering leadership of all M&A and Ventures activities including technical analysis of potential investments.
- Influence across all agile teams/trains to ensure a consistent technical approach is implemented for broad cross organization efforts.
Other
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent with a minimum of 12 years of Technology/Engineering experience; OR in lieu of the Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 15 years of experience in Technology/Engineering
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
