Medtronic is looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to help design and advance their insulin pump and continuous glucose monitoring devices, as the market demands more reliable and consumer-like medical devices.
Requirements
- Strong relationship skills are a must, as is excellent verbal and written communication.
- Be familiar with Agile processes, Atlassian suite of tools
- Medical Device Design, Leadership, and Industry experience
- Experience coordinating with remote teams.
- Experience working in a regulated industry
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and functional leadership to Software/Firmware Engineers across multiple sites, consisting of employees and contract personnel
- Oversees activities in development and design requirements for software systems, applications and software quality assurance for enhancements and new products
- Manages activities to assure programs are appropriately resourced and ensure continuous improvement in technical capability, process, and compliance
- Manages scope, cost, and schedule within a cross-functional development team
- Partner with cross functional teams to understand the good architecture and design
- Work closely with software test, product engineering, product marketing, quality and the systems teams to ensure the product works properly from end-to-end
- Participate and contribute to product code and design reviews.
