Nokia's Network Infrastructure group is seeking a SW Test Engineer to design and develop routers/chassis based on Open Community NOS (SONiC) to meet the increasing demand for higher capacity, greater reliability, faster speeds, and lower costs.
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience of IPv4/IPv6 and routing protocols in particular Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
- Experience and knowledge of Linux and Python programming language (shell scripting knowledge a plus)
- Experience in IP networking testing and troubleshooting
- General understanding of Hardware architecture of switching/routing products
- Experience with industry known packet generators
- Experience with SW development in Python
Responsibilities
- design and further develop Nokia’s routers/chassis based on Open Community NOS (SONiC)
- execute, enhance, and/or design, develop sophisticated tests to verify conformance of features and their functionality implemented by Engineering against requirements specifications laid out by Product Marketing.
- driving the feature to completion (ready for GA release)
- developing, modifying and executing software test plans
- develop Automated test cases using Python in Pytest environment.
- Analyzing and writing test standards and procedures
- maintaining documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modifying software.
Other
- Bachelor´s degree or equivalent experience.
- Candidates with Bachelor´s in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering will be more relevant.
- Master´s degree a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience
- Self-starter with proven aptitude for methodical problem solving, good communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work well in a close-knit team.
