PayPal is looking to build scalable cloud infrastructure for PayPal Credit products to support scalable and reliable applications, and to guide best-practice adoption through automation, optimization, and the six pillars of the Well-Architected Framework to help grow PayPal Credit.
Requirements
- Experience designing highly available, cost-aware cloud infrastructure based on industry standard cloud patterns (AWS or similar).
- Proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with IAM, cloud networking, and security best practices.
- Experience administrating and using CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with scripting languages like Python or Bash and an object-oriented programming language like Java.
- Experience with relational database services like Amazon Aurora and PostgreSQL.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based systems to support scalable and reliable applications.
- Analyze and improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of systems within cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain automated processes to streamline deployment, configuration, and monitoring of cloud-based infrastructure.
- Utilize monitoring tools to ensure the health and performance of applications, addressing any issues promptly to maintain reliability.
- Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure cloud infrastructure aligns with business and technical requirements.
- Evaluate and implement strategies to scale systems efficiently in response to business needs and traffic demands.
- Investigate and resolve system-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and consistent system availability.

- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
