TekSynap is seeking a System Engineer to support Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) in Honolulu, HI, to install, configure, administer, and maintain systems to meet NSA CSfC, NIAP, and DoD requirements
Requirements
- One of the following DoD8140 certifications: CEH, Cloud+, CGIH, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, SSCP
- Professional Systems Certification (e.g., MCSA, Linux, etc)
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), vCenter, vSAN, Windows Server, HPE
- Knowledge of DoD STIGs and IAVAs
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g. bash, python, etc)
- Experience with system documentation and configuration management
- Experience with security updates and patch management
Responsibilities
- Install, Configure, administer, and maintain systems (e.g. Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), vCenter, vSAN, Windows Server, HPE), software and hardware components to meet NSA CSfC, NIAP, and DoD requirements
- Management and apply DoD STIGs and IAVAs to ensure compliance with relevant security and NSA CSfC requirements
- Maintain software repositories and apply security updates
- Collaborate with other operations departments monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure security and efficiency of the CSfC system
- Be able to develop and modify system scripts (e.g. bash, python, etc.)
- Write standardized system documentation, including configuration guides, test procedures, test results, and training materials
- Evaluate current CSfC system, identify improvements, and implement new technologies to enhance performance and efficiency
Other
- Top Secret OR Higher OR Secret Clearance level with completed T5 investigation
- Five (5) or more years of experience in Engineering
- BA/BS = 5+ years AA with 7+ years of experience
- United States Citizenship
- Less than 20% travel required
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds, frequently lift up to 25 pounds, and up to 50 pounds
