QinetiQ US is looking to develop, advance, and sustain weapon systems for the U.S. Space Force (USSF) and its mission partners, requiring expert insight into the operational aspects of space systems, including command and control, to meet current and projected strategic, operational, and tactical needs for the Department of Defense (DoD).

Requirements

  • Extensive expertise and experience working with highly classified space programs.
  • Extensive operational experience with command and control of space systems.
  • Experience with Agile processes and implementation for large-scale software and hardware programs with an emphasis on user/operator engagement and comprehensive user experience design.
  • Expertise in operational workflow design, agile user persona management and user journey development.
  • Expertise in agile product ownership principles and best practices for guiding effective software development.
  • Extensive knowledge of Space Force command and control infrastructure and platforms.
  • Experience working directly with Space Force operators.

Responsibilities

  • Provide space operations and technical advice for projects and programs as well as support program acquisition efforts for advanced technology, future concept development, and integration activities.
  • Support the revision or drafting of JCIDS and acquisition documentation such as Initial Capability Documents, Analysis of Alternatives, Concept of Operations, Technical/Systems Requirement Documents, Technical Evaluations, and System Specifications.
  • Provide inputs and support on technical and/or programmatic status reporting of individual projects, programs, or portfolios.
  • Identify areas of improvement with actionable, feasible recommendations, and tasks for reducing risk where appropriate as well as support risk identification, process definition, and detailed technical risk mitigation plans.
  • Maintain awareness of current program schedule, monitor acquisition implementation, report requirement shortfalls, and provide program assessments based on the identified risks.
  • Shall advise the Government program manager on technical engagements such as technical interchange meetings, design reviews, program conferences, and other informational meetings.
  • Provide technical and operational insight to support mission protection, operations, and mission data assessments as well as recommend viable solutions for technical anomalies.
