Supermicro is looking for a System Validation Engineer to partner with the Hardware Designing team to validate in-house servers and workstation platforms, troubleshoot and detect any problems in current validation projects, and provide technical specifications and test configurations to verify system stability and reliability.
Requirements
- Familiar with server and computer architecture
- Basic knowledge of networking/TCPIP and Linux operation system
- 1+ years of working experience in system or component testing
- Familiar with HPC, data center, networking architecture, system mechanics, etc.
- Expert technical knowledge of designing and implementing Server system
- Benchmarking experience
Responsibilities
- Perform motherboard and server system application validation testing
- Conduct functional and compatibility testing on various operating systems such as Linux and Windows
- Perform motherboard and hardware functional validation testing
- Perform server configuration and system performance testing
- Report hardware and software quality assurance issues into bug tracking systems
- Duplicate customers motherboard issue if needed
- Work with customers and product management to understand production use of the product and understand advanced functionality requirements
Other
- Bachelor or Master's degree in CS, CE, EE or similar
- Strong communication skill in both written and verbal
