Booz Allen Hamilton is looking for a Systems Administrator Intern to organize and direct the configuration and operation of information management systems, provide day-to-day system administration, and optimize system performance.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the configuration and operation of systems
- Ability to maintain servers, create monitoring reports and logs, and ensure functionality of system links
- Ability to perform system capacity analysis and planning
- Ability to monitor systems for acceptable performance and user accessibility, establish back-ups, and monitor system security
- Experience with systems administration in an academic or professional environment
Responsibilities
- Organize and direct the configuration and operation of information management systems.
- Provide day-to-day system administration, including system and resource optimization, and user assistance.
- Conduct capacity and performance analysis and provide system configuration change and upgrade recommendations.
- Increase system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, develop system administrator procedures, and conduct system administrator training and skills assessment.
- Determine computer user needs and analyze system capabilities and programming techniques, and controls.
- Maintain servers, create monitoring reports and logs, and ensure functionality of system links.
- Monitor systems for acceptable performance and user accessibility, establish back-ups, and monitor system security.

- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree by Spring 2028
