Steampunk is looking for a Systems Analyst to lead the collection, capture, and management of mission user needs, translate business process needs into technical requirements, and provide expertise in various technical and functional environments to solve challenges in the Federal contracting industry.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar IT/business systems role
- Experience using Agile methodologies
- Hands-on experience with system testing, validation, and troubleshooting
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation, including system requirements, process flows, user guides, executive reports, and recommendations
- Experience with cloud platforms
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders and end-users.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
- Design, evaluate, and recommend solutions to improve system performance and efficiency.
- Apply different techniques to facilitate meetings and workshops, create a shared understanding with stakeholders, and engage team-members to produce product and portfolio roadmaps.
- Collaborates with stakeholders and product teams to decompose large epics into features and user stories that can be understood and approved by members of the development team.
- Create and execute test plans to validate system functionality and ensure quality.
- Develop process flows, data models, and system diagrams to support solution design.

- Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of experience or equivalent education and/or experience
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
