Atlantic Health System is looking to implement and support the Epic EMR system, requiring assistance with its HIM, Coding and Reimbursement, Deficiency Tracking, Release of Information, and Identity modules, as well as other revenue systems. The goal is to improve documentation systems and troubleshoot issues related to critical patient data.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
Responsibilities
- Work with the HIM team to support implementation and troubleshooting of Epic EMR system involving critical patient data
- Run record audits in collaboration with our legal team
- Utilize process management skills to oversee HIM projects from beginning to end
- Make suggestions for improving existing documentation system and supporting go-live of new documentation system
Other
- Applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time accredited undergraduate or graduate program at a public or private College/University, and be in good academic standing at their institution
- Must be committed to completing the duration of the internship from June 2026 - August 2026
- Must be committed to work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum of 375 hours for the duration of the internship
- Must be a US Citizen/Permanent Resident
- Applicants with majors in Health Information Management, Information Technology, or Healthcare Administration with an IT focus strongly encouraged to apply
